So welcome to 2015, the year has begun with some hot new projects already from both sides of the pond. On the UK front the hot new ‘Phase One’ mixtape from South London’s seasoned MC Desperado surfaced with collabs on there from Snap Capone, Kyza, Skrapz and OG team member P Money. The project sees Desperado wax lyrical about friends, foes and family and tales of that street life.
Already co-signed by UK tastemakers like DJ Tim Westwood (Capital Xtra), Jamal Edwards (SBTV) and DJ Target (BBC 1Xtra/Roll Deep) for their rap platforms. The lead single is a lyrical monster called ‘Lock Your Doors’ featuring P Money. Look out for standout tracks like ‘Devil In A Blue Dress’ & ‘Johny’ The Phase One mixtape is set for a Spring 2015 release

Veteran Brooklyn wordsmith Fabolous is now under the wing of Jay Z’s Rocnation music entity and is set to release his imminent new tape/album called ‘The Young OG Project’
The seasoned rapper will be released via DJ Clue’s Desert Storm music imprint which is under the umbrella of Def Jam Records, it’s been a five year hiatus from his last project; the highlights on this record are ‘She Wildin’ Feat Chris Brown and my personal favourite ‘Gone For The Winter’ Feat RnB new comer Velous, the song samples Represent from Nas’s Illmatic debut album. South East London MC Realmz releases his new mixtape project named ‘Hidden Realmz’.. Hailing from Plumstead/Woolwich vacinity; the passionate and lyrical rapper has already amassed a multitude of credible features in the four years he has actively pursued his craft and the music industry. Traversing between the Midlands and London he has penned and featured with Invasion Alert, Cipher Jewels (MD7)and Deci 4 Life from Birmingham (Brum Town); he has worked with Griminal and Dot Rotten from the capital’s Grime scene
Shaun Yarde, a rapper/emcee coming straight out of South London, known as Sir Shys !! an exciting new artist with music on his mind, Hip Hop music that is and as an avid fan of the music and culture Sir Shys has longed awaited his opportunity to showcase his talents.
Never political but always socially aware and conscious in his delivery, in his own words he says “I want to create a movement that can inspire and help many like myself to do better with their lives” when asked what he will want to bring to this over saturated industry of rappers. His prowess… unique style, flow and voice, is complimentary on any beat you put him on, he is almost effortless in his delivery but you will always feel his passion on any subject he raps about.
With subject matters of growing up in the environments that lead may young men to jail, unemployment, create broken homes and many other unfortunate circumstances. His lead tracks are the heartfelt street single ‘Never’ which is a track about never giving up and the thought provoking ‘People’ Feat Origins, both coming from ‘Hold Dat’ Part 2 his upcoming second installment in his mixtape series titled “PLAY or STOP...which will be released through his independent imprint NBTT (Nothin Before The Time) in early autumn 2015.
